Sales Person

With MVP in hand, let's start growing the business.

Initial sales would be direct, cold-call selling to retailers, distributors and manufacturers. With success, evolve the sales process in two ways:

  1. Process to transition geographic areas that have obtained a critical mass with direct sales, into a indirect sales model
  2. Refine the direct sales process to be more effective in new geographic areas.

This is your opportunity to not only gain the huge benefits of a startup launching and to help create effective sales processes they way you know they should be.


We are looking for a sales person with experience in the retail liquor industry (or CPG wholesale/distribution).

You need to be a self starter that can make things happen.

And have the benefit of bringing a brand new service that will have a revolutionary impact on the industry.

But we're in start up mode, so that's just the tip of the iceberg.

The start-up life is fast pace and flexibility is a key. That's what makes it so fun. The following lists the primary duties of the position but is certainly not the complete list.

  • Cold calling and direct sales;
  • Help define the tools and processes you need to be successful;
  • Help evolve our sales practice;
  • Assist customers in best using our service in order to give them a big jump in revenue;
  • Contribute to our company culture;
  • Help make our company fun, productive, and profitable while we move toward a huge exit!


The following are required skills

  • Ability to work in a start-up environment with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility - as a start-up, everyone needs to be able to pitch in where necessary (which is the fun of part of being in a start-up)
  • 4+ years in cold call/direct sales
  • Strong problem solving skills and drive to get things fixed
  • Ability to work in a virtual team
  • Solid communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to speak with customers in terms they understand (this is not planned, but may occur from time to time)


  • 4+ years experience in applicable domain
  • Proven success opening up new markets
  • BS in Computer Science (or MS)


  • Experience in retail
  • Demonstrate success in defining new sales practices
  • Working knowledge of design patterns


  • BS (or higher) in an applicable field or equivalent experience
